Mark 7:1-13 - God’s Law or Man’s Tradition

Jesus confronts the misleading teachings of the Pharisees and shows them how they have elevated man’s teachings above the law of God.

Jesus feeds the 5,000 in a miraculous way but that wasn’t the greatest miracle that day. Jesus is the good shepherd who cares for his sheep.

The disciples return after being sent out by Jesus. Knowing they need rest, Jesus invites them to a desolate place to find rest.

Mark 6:14-29 - Standing for Truth

Mark inserts the story of John the Baptist and his death at the hands of Herod Antipas. For the Christian, we too must stand up for the truth of Jesus, even if it is costly.

Mark 6:6b-13 - Advancing the Kingdom

After facing rejection in his hometown, Jesus is undeterred to advance the kingdom. This time however, he decides to send out his 12 disciples.

Mark 6:1-6 - Two Paths

Jesus returns to his hometown of Nazareth only to be questioned and ultimately rejected. There are two paths in this world, one leads to life and the other leads to rejection.

Mark 5:35-43 - Stop Fearing, Start Believing

Jairus has just been informed that his daughter is dead and that he should stop bothering Jesus. Jesus turns to him and says, “Do not fear, only believe.” This is crucial for the Christian.

Mark 5:21-34 - Jesus, Our True Restoration

Jesus returns to the east side of Galilee where he is met by a crowd. Among the crowd is a woman with tremendous faith and hopeless future. That is until Jesus restores her.
